Name:Andy Asplin Nickname: Big Andy Preferred Team: England 3-4-3 B Supports: Gravesend / Arsenal Ranking: - - Club President |
| comments - what is there to say that already hasn't been said about this living legend? Brilliant in all areas of the game - on his day is just about unbeatable but does provide his rivals with hope every so often. Was winner of the big 20 man Pro Evolution tournament showing he can perform when the pressure is really on. Andy's game is certainly well equipped to challenge in Belgium. | |
Name: Stuart Pinchin Nickname:Stu Preferred Team: Paraguay 4-4-2 Supports:Liverpool Ranking: - Club Vice-President |
| comments - highly gifted, natural born talent. Very skilful player who is never really out of the top two. Attack minded player who is capable of scoring some stunning goals. On his day he is capable of outplaying Andy but one would doubt whether he is as passionate and devoted to the game as the big man is which is essential to reach the number one spot. Still a great player and would be a credible contender in Belgium. | |
Name:Mike Tentis Nickname: "Mafia Mike" Preferred Team:France Supports: Ranking: - Pretender to the Throne |
comments - talks the biggest talk around, but when will he ever turn up to prove it? "charlatan" "nobody" "jimmy no-show" are names which have all been thrown at the man,
who undeniably was one of the big names... however much water has passed under the bridge and this old pro seems to be living purely on those memories of former glories. It's a shame, crying shame.
Name: Patrick Dillon Nickname:Paddy Preferred Team:Argentina 3-5-2 Supports: Middlesbrough Ranking: - |
| Exciting player who is a relative newcomer to the game. Since beginning university Paddy has made a rapid rise up the ISS ladder. His forte is scoring blistering strikes from the edge of the area but this can sometimes be at the expense of bringing it into the area for the simple side footer. Paddy has a good record against the top players and has quite a few victories against the big man to his name. One criticism would be that he concedes a few too many free kicks which can prove very costly at the highest level. | |
Name:Mark Booth Nickname: Preferred Team: Italy Supports: Man Utd Ranking: - Club Sectretary |
| comments - Of the big guns was the last to begin playing ISS so has had to develop his game is a much shorter space of time. After finishing twentieth out of twenty in the main tournament Mark has gone from being the lowest ranked player to an established top six competitor - testament to his character being able to recover from such a loss. His attacking is done predominantly down the wings, a strategy he has adopted to good effect. However, this one dimensional style of play can sometimes become all too predictable and to improve much further he will have to introduce a bit more variation and also become more clinical at despatching goal scoring opportunities. | |
Name: Tom Hooper Nickname: "The Salmon" Preferred Team: Italy Supports: - Ranking: - |
| comments -A bit of a journeyman. Has been on the ISS scene for a while now without really progressing or looking like he will. Still through his experience he has picked up a few tricks and is always capable of producing an upset. Despite only achieving mediocrity Tom's passion for ISS has never faltered and his outburst and fits of rage during games always entertains the spectators and can also be quite unnerving for his opponents. | |
Name:Adam Carter Nickname: - Preferred Team:Italy Supports: Norwich Ranking: - |
| comments - Though recently abstaining from competitive play, his past performances, finishing 3rd in the big tournament and with a consistent record against the other big name players, adam is a force to be reckoned with. Playing with a solid Italy line-up, he may not be the most spectacular, but never fails to produce an entertaining match. | |
Name: Robert Blowers Nickname: Bob Preferred Team: Holland Supports: - Ranking: - |
| comments -Still quite a way behind the top players but this is only due to lack of playing time and the fact he is still a relative novice to the game. Is still a very solid player and has produced a few upsets in the past. Plenty of potential there to become a good ISS player and contender for future events. If Rob was just half as good at ISS as he is at Colin McRae 3 then he would be a dominant force in the game | |
Name: George Grant Nickname: Jeff (piggy) Preferred Team:Argentina Supports: Charlton Ranking: -99 |
comments - George keeps coming out with scary statistics about his beloved Argentina, eg "you don't want to do that, sensini only has 54 on medium-range passing accuracy".
Still, his obsessive practicing has paid off with some big results in recent events, although his lack of experience against quality players means he is still not a main contender.
One to watch. | |
Name: Jason Bliss Nickname: "Dee" , "The Blisterator" Preferred Team: Brazil Supports: Ranking: #1 |
comments - Jason hit the uni Pro Evo scene in the very first tournament, reaching the semi-finals, and several more good performances finally rewarded with a first tourney win at the end of the year.
He then foolishly allowed himself to be talked into joining the committee. Recently he's gone from strength to strength, taking home the cashpot every other week.
