26 competitors this time, with the newly released Pro Evo 4 on show as well, there was somewhat of a buzz around A23 on saturday, for what will probably be the last PES 3 event.
The comittee competitors, Andy, Jason, Stu and Ad all made it through the groups and things were looking good, apart from a little anomoly on the results sheet
- some new guy called Andy Malewicz had won all his group games, scoring 16 goals on the way.
Round 3 saw what may have been the match of the tournament, where President Andy took a 2-1 lead against the newcomer, but this only seemed to anger him and Malewicz took it 4-3 with the last kick of the game.
Meanwhile the bookmakers favourites were dropping like flies, Ad, Jase and Stu going out with a few bad excuses about hangovers and PES 4 messing up their game on PES 3.
Congratulations to Chris Smith for reaching the final, and to Andy for destroying everyone in sight, lets all hope he can't get any practice on pes 4!
